Peanut is our 4 year old deer Chihuahua. He was suppose to be a teacup, but he grew and is now bigger than our dachshunds. He use to be very hyperactive and would literally bounce off the walls. This was the first time I had owned this breed of dog and it took some getting use to. I had him neutered as a puppy, hoping it would help settle him down some. With a little time, he has settled in just fine and we wouldn't give him up for the world. His daddy has won first place in the Chihuahua races on many occasions, and we can see where he gets his quickness from. Peanut will chase a tennis ball all day, until you just can't throw it anymore. He is already across the yard and waiting for it, before you can even turn it loose. His next favorite thing is sleeping in my husbands lap or trying to lick you silly. He does not know that he is a Chihuahua and believes he is a Dachshund. We have not had the heart to break the news to him yet!
