Puppies are viewed by appointments only!
We
are usually available most days of the week between the hours 10
am - 7 pm but not always and you will still need to set up a
time. Many people get upset when they call because they can not
always come out immediatly, but please understand that we also
have a very busy family life and other things going on too.

WE HAVE RECENTLY HAD MOST OF GIRLS SPAY AND WILL NOW ONLY HAVE
ONE OR TWO LITTERS A YEAR. SOME WILL REMAIN WITH US PERMANTLY
AND OTHERS WILL BE ADOPTED OUT TO BECOME PERMANANT COUCH
POTATOES AND ENJOY THE SPOLING THEY DESERVE. WE HAVE TRULY
ENJOYED THE PUPPIES AND THE WONDERFUL PEOPLE WE HAVE MET OVER
THE PAST 20 YEARS. IT HAS BEEN SUCH A JOY GETTING UPDATES AND
MAKING FRIENDS. WE WOULD LIKE TO SPEND TIME WITH OUR
GRANDCHILDREN AND CONCENTRATE MORE ON THE RESCUE DACSHSHUNDS
THAT WE FEEL NEEDS US MOST. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE!
Thank
you so much for stopping by and your interest in one of our
babies. We are upfront & will always answer your questions
honestly.
All of our prices are
FIRM and we do not bargain on prices. We put a lot of money, care and
time into each of our puppies and also each one of our mothers before and
after birth. We try to keep our prices affordable and within reason. They
are not too low and not that high. We feel if you can not afford one of our
puppies then you can not afford the care it will require for a lifetime and
are not totally committed. A puppy is the real thing and not something that you bargained for at a
yard sale to only discard later. If you are considering buying a puppy from
us, please read everything on this page first!

Dachshunds are little short-legged angels on Earth
THE WAITING LIST
If you wish to get on our
puppy waiting list for an upcoming litter for a certain
puppy, please give us details as to what you are looking for.
All those on the waiting list will be contacted in order once
the puppies are born. Due to some not being serious, changing
thier minds or having found a puppy elsewhere, we only allow 2
days for a response once notified and will then give the next
person next choice. Those who do not respond will be removed.
Most of our puppies sale quickly and this is a great way to get
a baby reserved ahead of time.
DEPOSITS
We
do not accept deposits before a litter is born. Once a litter is
born and we know everything is okay, we will then mark on that
page that deposits are now being accepted. A deposit of $100.00
will secure the puppy of your choice and will be deducted from
the full purchase price upon pickup. Deposits are accepted in
the form of check & US money order. If you wish to use a
credit/debit card & secure your pup instantly, we also accept
Paypal (3% fee applies). You do not have to have a Paypal
account to use it & we can send you a request. Please understand
that all deposits are non-refundable unless due to fault of our
own or something happens to the puppy.
NO SHIPPING OR DELIVERY!
For local pickup from our home only! All puppies are to be picked up
from our home, we absolutely will not ship our babies. We do however
welcome anyone that wishes to fly in and pickup thier puppy as long
as they are on the plane with them and not in the storage area where
they will be alone and stressed. Sorry, we
also do not meet people half way or delivery our puppies. It is very
important to us to get to know the person who will taking home one
of our puppies first. All potential buyers should be concerned
enough to also want to visit the home of a breeder and veiw living
conditions the puppy came from.
It does not happen often, but there has been a few times we have had
to refuse a sale due to feeling uncomfortable with the potential
buyer. We welcome everyone into our home & enjoy getting to visit
with them:) It is very important to us to see how the person and
puppy react to each other

BUYING A PUPPY FROM US
You will also be required to sign our puppy contract upon pickup
which you may view
here.
We ask that you prepare yourself for your upcoming addition to your
family ahead of time before you pickup him or her. Toys. Lot's of them!,
especially since they will be going through a teething stage. This
will help prevent chewing on your furniture. Though, I would suggest
keeping your favorite shoes put up. We have found some wonderful
toys at our local resale shop that are very motivational. They are
not as expensive and do not get chewed up as easily. Be very careful
of squeaky toys or stuffed animals with button type eyes to prevent
any choking hazards. Baby proof your puppy's area just like you
would if you had a real baby. If it is small, they will find it. If
it is electrical, they will try chewing it, resulting in
electrocution. You will also need treats,
dog food, blankets, doggie bed, roomy crate (if you plan on crate
training), and pee pads. If you are wanting to place your puppy somewhere like
the kitchen, you may also need to buy a baby gate. We do NOT agree
with keeping your puppy in a tiny bathroom, the bathtub, or being
stuck in a cardboard box all the time! Nor do we approve of
being locked in a crate for 10-12 hours a day. If you plan on this, we will
not knowingly sell you a puppy. Buy a lizard!
You will also need to find yourself a good vet and make an
appointment after you get your puppy home. We give the first series
of shots, but your pup will need to get two more to have complete
the series unless the puppy is older, then we will made sure the
puppy is up to date for his/her age. We understand you will be very excited and want to show
off your new baby. You will need to take them straight home. Puppies
will be a little stressed once taken away from momma & siblings. You
do not want to add more stress on top of that, which can cause your
baby to get sick. DO NOT take them to places like PetCo/PetSmart or
to other peoples houses until they have had all their shots. Only,
take them out to a safe and secure spot to go potty. Many people ask
if our puppies are potty trained. NO! There is no such thing as a
7-9 week old puppy that is already potty trained. Potty training
takes time and patience and may take several months. Just stay
consistent by taking your puppy out first thing in the morning, a
couple times a day, 30 minutes before and after eating, and again
before bedtime. An idea that has also helped with our dogs young and
old, is we treat them just like we did our children growing up by
not letting them have anything to drink after a certain time in the
evening.
When you come to pickup your puppy, please bring a
blanket or towel with you. We will then rub it on the mother and
siblings which will help your new baby during those first couple of
stressful days. Your puppy will leave with a puppy packet, shot and worming records, on
going support from us, and a small packet of Purina One Puppy food.
If you plan on changing over to your own brand, you will just need
to slowly add some of the food to ours so they can get use to it
without upsetting their tummy.
If for some unseen reason, you are no
longer able to take care of your puppy, we will always take them
back regardless of any age or situation.

REGISTRATIONS
Most of our parents are double registered with AKC/CKC
so we can research thier bloodlines.
We no longer are selling our puppies with AKC registrations. They are
sold to pet
homes only with a spay/neuter contract. We do reserve the right to refuse anyone we do not
feel comfortable with in the home or situation the puppy may be
going to. We will not knowingly sell to puppy mills, pet stores or
3rd party brokers.
Remember! These are our babies before they become yours!
IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN, PLEASE READ:

If you are looking for a puppy for your family that is great, but if
you are looking for a puppy just for your child, please consider
waiting till they get old enough to be able to take on the
responsibility of caring for one first.
Small children will pick up a puppy the wrong way or are unable to
hold onto it correctly, including squeezing too hard. This will
result injury of the puppy or even death, especially if dropped.
With the dachshunds long back, you do not want any type of back
injury. All children should be supervised and taught correctly how
to handle and treat any animal. Think long and hard first. Do not
buy a puppy at the spur of the moment or as a surprise gift. They are not toys!
I can not count the number of times, I have and will continue to
refuse the sale of a puppy to anyone with children whom the parents
do not have any concern for the puppy first or pays attention.
Our grandson "Hunter" with our grand-dog "Moe".
He has been taught that he can only hold a puppy when he is sitting
down and is never allowed to pick one up by himself. When he comes to visit, it is his responsibility to make sure
the puppies are groomed. He has also now that he is getting bigger,
has learned that scooping poop is part of the job. He loves his little "Moe-Moe"!

Our grand-daughter, Haylee Marie! We
can't wait till she is old enough and responsible enought to be able
to present her with her own
longhair puppy that she can brush and put bows in the hair.
